One Test Gave It Away - Honda Accord LOW POWER Condition
ScannerDanner · 17 October 2026
A low-power complaint on this 2010 Honda Accord turned out to be a quick and straightforward diagnosis using one of our favorite tests: the wide-open-throttle O2 sensor test.
With the vehicle barely able to accelerate, we monitor oxygen sensor data under wide-open throttle to determine whether we're dealing with a fuel delivery issue or something else. The rich readings point us toward a restricted exhaust, and a quick exhaust backpressure test confirmed it was the problem.
This is a great example of how understanding oxygen sensor data can help narrow down a low-power complaint and save you time!
